Round 1 of 2
1. KC: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Smith's bid for the 2012 Heisman Trophy went south in a hurry, but he still projects extremely well to the next level. Kansas City needs a complete overhaul, and obviously the best way to begin that process is at the quarterback position. 2. JAX: Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
He had one of the best names in college football, but Lotulelei can also play some ball. Jacksonville may be ready to give up on Blaine Gabbert and start over at quarterback, but at this point the team needs the best player on its board. 3. OAK: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
Texas A&M was all about Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel, but not is the time to stop overlooking Moore. He had 21 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks last season. 4. PHI: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Joeckel was the rock in front of Johnny Football last season at Texas A&M and he is No. 1 on many draft boards. Joeckel falling to fourth would be a dream scenario for line-starved Philadelphia. 5. DET: Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
Werner had 13 sacks last season for Florida State and he has cemented himself as a Top 10 prospect. Detroit needs help on the outside of its line. 6. CLE: Jarvis Jones, LB, Georgia
Although Jones may not go No. 1 overall or even in the top three, some regard him as the best player in the class. He had 14.5 sacks in 2012 to go along with a ridiculous 24.5 tackles for loss. 7. ARI: Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Barkley's senior campaign at USC did not exactly go as planned. Still, he has strong pro potential and Arizona needs a quarterback in the worst way. 8. BUF: Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU
Following a mass exodus of LSU defensive players to the pros last season, Mingo became the stud for the Tigers. He should be the second or third pass-rusher off the board come April. 9. NYJ: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
Montgomery, the next in a long line of awesome LSU defensive linemen, is one of the best at getting to the quarterback in this class. That is just one of the Jets' myriad issues. 10. TEN: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Look for Tennessee to address one of its two lines in the first round. Offense may be the way to go if Warmack is available after what he did up front for champion Alabama. 11. SD: Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
With Michigan's Taylor Lewan going back to school, Fisher could be the second tackle off the board after Joeckel. San Diego has more than its fair share of needs, but offensive line certainly is one. 12. MIA: Keenan Allen, WR, California
This wide receiver class is not an outstanding one compared to others, so Miami may get the best one with pick No. 12. Ryan Tannehill needs some more weapons. 13. TB: Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
Will the Bucs talk themselves out of a cornerback now that they have crept this high in the draft order? Maybe not, because Banks' talent warrants a selection at No. 13. 14. CAR: Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
Cam Newton could use another weapon on offense, but there may not be any options better than this guy at this point. Hankins was the leader of a stout defense for undefeated Ohio State 15. NO: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
Oregon's offense is what got all the accolades, and for good reason, but Jordan was a force on defense. He may be a bit of a project, but his upside is off the charts. 16. STL: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
Sam Bradford requires some major help, either in front of him on the line or at receiver. Patterson is coming off the best season of his college career at Tennessee.
